I had a dilemma with this picture because Christie ended up being the only person in focus and so with my edit, I just emphasized on on how she was the focus of this picture. It actually turned out to be better than I had anticipated!
Editing:
I did camera raw processing. Added a vignette around the edges and boosted the colors. I also used the boost action in photoshop. I made a selection of Christie and then added a motion blur and then a Gaussian blur on top of that to get rid of the hard edges and to give the effect of everything around Christie was moving. I added eye lashes, darkened her eyebrows, boosted the whites in her eyes, removed blemishes and a few other freckles, and then air brushed her face.

After much bartering, these three girls were willing to pose for some pictures. We went up by the Rexburg Temple to take a bunch of pictures and there were a lot that really turned out. They wouldn’t probably disagree only because they claim they don’t like having their picture taken or that they take bad pictures.

How do I sit? | Replace Color

I had a hard time deciding what color to replace and then what color it would be replaced with. Lauren was wearing green. Green isn’t a bad color but with purple and pink… it kind of clashes and so I decided to make it red to go along with a common color scheme.
Editing:
I used the replace color tool in photoshop to change the green color to red. I targeted the many different shades of green in the shirt so that when I replaced the color it would be a more natural replacement and wouldn’t look like it was painted over or something. Where there is other green in the picture, once I was able to get the shirt to color I wanted I just used a mask to bring back the rest of the picture to its unchanged color state.

This picture was taken on the steps to the side of the Rexburg Temple. I must say, these girls have got super eyes because the sun was reflecting right into their eyes. I’m surprised they didn’t say anything about wanting to close their eyes for a bit.

This picture was taken at Porter Park. One of the rare days in Idaho, there was a blue sky and I just wanted to capture it in this picture.
Editing:
I didn’t do much editing with this picture. I only used the match color tool in photoshop to have Kris’ picture matched with another picture that had similar colors and the exposure that I was looking for. I reduced a lot of the values in this tool because they were extremely intense.
